Weekending // Nov 13 - 15, 2020
With the colder temperatures reaching Eastern Iowa this weekend, a lot of people are looking for things to do inside. We've got you covered with a ton of events that are virtual. Nothing like staying cozy at home under a blanket and still getting to do something. A side note to mention also, a lot of upcoming events that we will be featuring on our calendar are going to be virtual due to the pandemic of Covid-19 affecting many local businesses and venues.
That being said, this weekend we would like to show off some great events for you!
We would also like to announce that we post virtual events as well, and we would love to post yours!
Friday Night Trivia: Every Friday starting November 6th, from 7 to 9 p.m.
Reserve a socially-distant table for you and your trivia team at the NewBo City Market. Then, be treated to the highest quality trivia by Andrew's Bar Exam as he streams LIVE on our giant projector screen and you enjoy a freshly-poured beer from NewBo Beer and Wine!
Bring your "quaran-team" (four to eight people), and a laptop to fill out your answer sheet, down to the Market for some Friday fun and have a chance to win prizes, which are exclusively available to those who attend the event at the Market!
Virtual Science Cafe: Three virtual Science Cafes have been scheduled. While they wish that the programs could be in person, it is not safe to do so at this point. Since the events will be virtual, it is a great opportunity to combine the two Science Cafe communities and allow for even more participation (friends and family in other parts of Iowa)! The subject for the cafes is still TBD and information on how to RSVP and a link to the Zoom meeting can be found in the "more information" link within the article.
As always, we thank you for your time and support in reading our blogs. We greatly appreciate the support for a local business, supporting other locals.
