Weekending // Oct 23 - 25, 2020
It looks like October has already brought us snow this year! Time to get your snow brushes out for your windshields AND your pumpkins. Us here at EasternIowaNow.com are looking forward to the winter, but I think we can all agree that the snow can wait until December. There are still plenty of events that we want to participate in before we all get snowed in.
Events: We have some pretty great events going on this upcoming weekend!
Trick or Treat at the Movies: The Marcus Wherenberg theaters are excited to announce they are re-opening with newer safety and cleaning measures to provide a fun family experience that we all missed. So get your hands ready to dip into a bucket of popcorn and watch a movie with your family.
Pumpkin Fest: Another great family event is the Pumpkin Fest in Amana! Tons of activities to take part in, from Pumpkin Carving to an exciting scavenger hunt. Also stop by the the local businesses in town to try some tasty Pumpkin treats and drinks. The best part is, you'll be supporting all local!
News: We have some fantastic news for this weekend as well, Pheasant hunting season is opening up on October 31st! Tens of thousands of hunters are donning their orange vests, getting their hunting dogs ready and waiting until opening day. This year is much anticipated as well, with most of the crops being pulled already and a bird count higher than previous years. This season looks to be plentiful for everyone.
