Weekending - January 18 - 20
The weather might keep us inside this weekend, but that doesn't mean you can't have a good time!
After you build a snowman, get those kids out jumping or bowling this weekend. Sky Zone is having a Glow Party Saturday night. Sounds AWESOME! GLOW face paint, GLOW necklaces, GLOW t-shirt. This party is for the serious jumpers/partiers. Check out our Kids and Family calendar for more!
If the roads allow you to drive, get out and see some live music. You can always find listings on our Concert/Live Music calendar!
The Chrome Horse on 3rd St SE is always good for booking the awesome bands. This Friday is Dreamers Edge. They have a special guest drummer. NO COVER!
Get some culture and entertainment while supporting our local National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library this weekend at the Family Film: The Emperor's Nightingale. The movie is told with puppets and is 55 minutes long. Perfect for those little ones!
If the roads are not safe, then please stay home. Here are some ideas for fun while being snowed in:
- Break out those Christmas gifts that your kids haven't played with much. Show that you are interested and they will become interested, too!
- Play games or cards together. This bonding time is what your kids will remember most when they are grown up.
- No kids? Start a project. You know there is something you have been wanting to change about your house or apartment. Plan it out or just dive in!
- Pets bored? Work on teaching your dog tricks. It doesn't matter how old they are or what they already know, your fur baby will appreciate the attention and have fun. They especially like it when you use treats!
