Join us for our Learn-to-Ski Day on August 4th from 9 AM to 1 PM on Lake Street in Sabula, Iowa.
We are Ski Bellevue, Bellevue’s own water ski show team. We are one of only four water ski show teams in Iowa, and the only one to perform on the Mississippi River. The Ski Bellevue Water Ski Show Team is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)3 organization who performs free water ski shows for the community of Bellevue.
We perform annually for the Bellevue Heritage Day celebration and, recently for Island City Days in Sabula, Iowa.
It is the mission of the Ski Bellevue Water Ski Show Team to educate club members and the public on techniques, rules, regulations, and safety in the sport of Water-Skiing. The club continues to put on free family friendly ski shows to the community each summer from June-August, as well as offering learn to ski programs for the public.
Through the years, hundreds of kids and adults have learned to water ski and have performed with Ski Bellevue. Our members acquire confidence and teamwork skills, and are taught safe boating skills. The veterans of the team say they love working with the kids, as well as providing fun, family entertainment for our community.
Ski Bellevue consists of approximately 65 members, ranging in age from 4 to 65. Our water skiers perform acts such as pyramids, ballet line, barefooting, strap doubles, conventional doubles, ski ramp jumps, etc. Other club members drive and observe in the boats, assist with ropes, and many other support activities.
Come and check us out north of Lock and Dam 12 for practice every Friday night and Saturday morning during the summer months, or south of Lock 12 for our Bellevue shows.
